Wow, what a few years for Prime Hosting!

In 2011 Prime Hosting and UH Hosting, both divisions of M247 Ltd, have combined to form a single but highly focused and experienced hosting provider, specialising in Linux and cPanel web hosting.

Prime Hosting goes above and beyond the call of duty, providing 24/7 phone and e-mail support to all clients, regardless of their size.

With services now spanning Dedicated Servers, Fully Managed Virtual Private Servers, Reseller Web Hosting and with the financial stability of M247 Ltd, Prime Hosting is going to be in the industry for a very long time!

Prime Hosting was set up in early 2004 and quickly gained a reputation for quality of service and support, largely via word of mouth from their original and small client base. Over the years Prime Hosting continued to grow and expand and became one of the first UK web hosting providers to offer Ruby on Rails hosting.

Sold to UH Hosting Ltd (100% owned by Open Hosting Ltd), Prime Hosting added to it's strong service portfolio, including Windows Web Hosting, Unix reseller hosting, shell hosting and Linux Web Hosting, co-location and dedicated servers.

UH Hosting was launched in May 2002 by James Smith, with the intention of specialising in UK based Windows Web Hosting. Shortly after the launch, UH were able to launch other services, including shell hosting and Linux Web Hosting. In 2003 it quickly developed into Unix Reseller Hosting, Co-location and Dedicated Server markets. Finally in November 2005 UH Hosting Ltd was acquired by Open Hosting Ltd. In an increasingly competitive market, the sale of the business provides improved service to clients and better position the business for growth.

In March 2009, Open Hosting Ltd (now M247 Ltd), opened a data-centre in Stretford, Manchester. The majority of UH Hosting's equipment was moved from London to utilise the new highly efficient facility in Manchester giving our Prime Hosting customers access to even greater facilities.
